Redang Trip Part 3 ~ Final

Oh gosh, I'm so outdated with this last post, better wrap it up fast before any more months go by, haha.

When you travel anywhere with a large group, theres bound to be some funny stuff
that happens during the trip.

At Kuala Terengganu after breakfast:

WI: look at that chicken!
A: yea?
WI: how come it has no hands?
A: .......
A: So, what kind of hands you expect to see, like T rex that type ar?
(*imitates T Rex)

WI: Uh, ya hor..hehehe....nevermind, just forget about it
A: (loudly) WI just asked why the chicken no HANDS!
WI: OI OI, dont tell lar....

Well, he told everyone anyway, hahahaha..including me. Then it was time to board
the bus again.

Dad: (doing head count as we board) 33, 34...
Me: Dad, tell u something funny. WI asked us y the chicken over there no hands.
Dad: ...... I think I just lost count.
Me: Ooops...hahaha

When the beach dance started

Cw: Eww, so stupid la, never in my life am I going to participate in something so
idiotic.
Me: hahaha.....

20 minutes later during the chicken dance, I saw CW run into the dancing crowd to
join. -_-

Snorkelling briefing

Guide: Ok people, now when you get down from the boat, remember to WATCH YOUR MIND
everyone: ???
Guide: Eh sorry I mean MIND YOUR STEP !
everyone: HAHAAHHA

In the bus

Aunt Susan: Ameliaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Amelia: Uh mum, you missed your seat adi, its in front
Aunt Susan: AMELIA, HAVE YOU PEED ADI?
Everyone: AHAHAAHHAHHA
Amelia: MOM ! I'm old enough to go myself, ok?

Ok, lets get down to the pics.

I'm uber jealous ok? The underwater camera men didnt come to my side. Sigh... missed out taking underwater pics. Here's my cousin. Such a nice pic! However its RM 5 per pic when they burn the cd for you, and not all are this nice.

The result of our looking into the horizon camwhoring. This is one of the better ones I took.

More more tea inn from the movie Summer Holiday. Non stop replays of that movie on the hotel channels.

Canoeing - Super hot ! Legs also almost sunburn.

Group pic!

Alright, since there are many more pics I'll post the thumbs and you all can click on whichever that interests you.

1. Pack until like illegal immigrants. The downside of super peak season.
2. No guesses as to why we were seasick.
3. Feeding the voracious fish at the marine park. They are scary I tell you, especially the bigger ones. Wish I had more pics but most of it was spent snorkeling at the reef, and we don't have a waterproof cam.
4. Burying someone in the sand is a must for any beach trip.
5. Pretending to be cool.
6. Random pic taken from Laguna.
7. Bailing water out of the sinking boat. Actually very near the beach adi.... they could just get down and drag it to shore.
8. Macarena beach dance video.
9. The uh..very enthusiastic beach dance staff.
10. Beach dance participants.
11. Wave jumping - jumping straight into a large wave. Must remember to hold breath.
12. A dare chi wei took on. To take a pic lying next to 2 sexy gals. Well not exactly next to them la.
13. Bottoms up... the most expensive Shandy ever. RM 6 per can -_-
14. Failure to book a room for the karaoke. Took loony pics instead.

3. The uh... Hot sensations. The actual band is 4 girls who sing at the lounge every night.
4. Chilling out at the recreation room while waiting for the Ferry of horror to bring us back to Kuala Terengganu.
5. We made it in one piece! After that was the 11 hour (including breaks for lunch and dinner) bus ride to KL. Not many pics after this. Everyone was dead tired.

4 days of vacation in Redang and 1 day in between Part 2

Paranormal events at Redang

1. The falling ashtray

Chi Wei was watching a horror movie alone in his room. Suddenly, the ash tray on top of the tv fell down for no reason...and cracked...... he was pretty much freaked. Coincidence?

2. The face

We were playing shine a torch up your face to take scary pics on the beach late at night. One of the pictures turned out like that.

Look closely at the picture, do you see something scary? It really freaked us out when we first saw it.

Me: Chi Wei... whats that behind you in that pic?
Chi Wei: Eh? Walau, who was that?
Me: i don't remember anyone else posing for that pic....the mouth, why does it look like got blood one....
Chi Wei: T_T First the ashtray, now this....

The transportation

Bus ride

Going to redang - Left just before midnight and arrived around 7.30 am at Kuala Terengganu. Made a few stops in between at rest stops so that we could use the loo/ grab a quick bite. Me = painful neck

Coming home - The longest ride in my life. We stopped for lunch and also dinner. Boarded the bus at 2 something pm May 01. We finally reached home at 2 something a.m May 02 -_-. I was almost dead by then and had no problems sleeping till 11 a.m. the next day.

Ferry

Ferry to redang - The horror of horrors. My first experience of being violently seasick. Its the small covered type of ferry not the huge ones that accomodate cars. The first thing the staff did was to pass out plastic bags. Not everybody took the bags. It was raining and the ferry was swaying left and right... after that it picked up speed... then it started bobbing up and down. After imagining myself riding on a dinosaur to take my mind offf reality, I lost it 15 minutes before reaching our destination. Well..so did a few others. It would have been funny if I wasn't so ill. Half the passengers were hanging onto to poles at the middle of the boat with pale faces. Apparently standing up and looking forward helps with the seasickness. Well it didnt quite work for me. Upon arrival to Redang the welcome drink was "shuen mui" drink. Ahh.... never tasted anything better.

Singing a song before boarding the Ferry of doom for the return trip.

Ferry back from Redang - Everyone took seasickness pills. Everyone took the plastic bags handed out. Everyone avoided the side seats. Sweets/shuen mui were passed around. Some aunties had ta pao-ed orange juice or other sour drinks. We all took a deep breath and the journey started..it started to drizzle..we braced for the worst..... Surprisingly the trip was very smooth. No extreme swaying or bobbing. No one got sick. Phew.....

Boat to deep sea snorkelling/ marine park - For the deep sea snorkelling on day 1, the boat was swaying like crazy when we reached the snorkelling area. A few people were feeling sick including myself. We quickly got into the water. I think we had not recovered from the hellish ferry ride yet. The marine park boat ride was slightly better. Advice for those who dont want to get into the water for deep sea snorkelling... if you dont plan to snorkel, don't go at all. You wont last 10 minutes on that swaying boat without throwing up. My friend told me some parents learned that the hard way. They went just to monitor their kids. The marine park different story coz you can stay on the beach.

The food

YUM. Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday at Laguna. Everyday they had slightly different food. Dinners were the best though. Great view of the sea from the restaurent. Let the pictures do the talking.

Satay & Lekor were good!

Mango pudding and uh... I'm not sure what it is but its like cake with the sauce you get on bread pudding. Nice.... The kuih not bad either.

Every lunch time they have fish, beef, chicken and lamb cooked in various styles.

They had rather unique soups. Cream of carrot, chicken lemon soup.... but it was quite good.

Daytime View

Night View (Full moon!)
