Its driving me crazy. The renovation going on next door has been going on for months. It goes on for a few days then stops for a few weeks then starts again. All the drilling right next to the wall that I sit beside is giving me a headache. I really wonder what they are up to, maybe drilling for petroleum or something.
Its especially loud today. I thought they were going to drill right through the wall itself. Can't do anything but turn up the volume on my headphones and blast music.

few months? my neighbour once took a year to complete the renovation of their house... the contractors had to redo their work many many times... thus stretching the project to a year
imagine the amount of headache in my head, and dust in my lungs...
I wonder how many more months next door will take. All the shops on my street seem to be renovating at the same time
man..i know tats torture..
i even get irritated when someone speaks too loudly over the phone for a long time in the train coz the voice just echoes so loudly in my head..
n when the cleaner in my office switches on the vacum to clean..man..its SOOO SUPER LOUD man(dunno wat vibrating model is tat)..feel as if the whole building is abt collapse or somethin..
it just drives me crazy...i seriously duno how im gona take it if im at ur place..haha
try using earplugs.... I'm sure it'll help alot
It is not surprising to have a few weeks/months break, it is common these days. Let me tell u something in the real world.
In this competitive world, contractors like to tender as many jobs to secure business. As u know, u still have to pay ur staff salary even if u do not have work for them to do. So they pre-tender the renovation job as many as they could but not over tender. And then they end up do not have enough workers to work for all their customers at the same time. So they shift their worker between the customers. Sometimes work at customer A for a few weeks then go to customer B then back to customer A again.
As we know customer like to see progress, no progress = angry customer. So which ever customer makes noise or more fussy, they go the work there first. Some customer that are too busy with their business that they hardly got time bother the renovation.This lead some renovations can last as long as 1 year or more.

HAHA I totally get what you are talking about.. once my neighbors were using the hummer and they were like doing it so hard, that a porcelain of my mother that was in the wall fell down... my mom was like TOTALLY pissed off haha
